Terms & Conditions
The following are terms and conditions for the “Let’s Do It Canberra” baseball bid for entry into the 2010 Australian Baseball League.
ACT Baseball Association ABL bid TRUST ACCOUNT CREATION AND PRIMARY PURPOSE.
The Canberra ABL Bid will establish a Trust account for the purpose of deposit by prospective members wishing to pledge their support for a Canberra based Australian Baseball League team.
If the bid is successful, the Canberra based ABL team will be established for entry in the 2010 Australian Baseball League competition.
If Major League Baseball International in its sole discretion determines that the application for a Canberra based Australian Baseball League team has been unsuccessful (by October 2009), all $20 are fully refundable upon presentation of reciept(s).
Monetary interest received from the funds deposited in the Trust Account will be used in furtherance of the application for an ABL team for Canberra by the Beneficiary and/or the funds required to run the said team if it is established.
All money contributed by Foundation Members will be held in a Trust account. If unsuccessful, all money contributed by Foundation Members will be refunded in full on presentation of a receipt.
In the event that any Applicant(s) have deceased or cannot be contacted at the time of refund of any application fee (as the personal details provided by them have changed or lapsed), such fees will be donated to local baseball activities and community bodies at the discretion of the Board.
The signatories to the TRUST ACCOUNT will be the Trustees.
The beneficiary to this Trust will be the ACT Baseball Association.
If the bid is successful, all monies will be used for the establishment of Canberra’s ABL.
Persons who pledged throughout the bidding process will be given the opportunity to use their $20 pledge(s) as discount for one of the following;
1x Match ticket
1x Series ticket
1x Season pass
1x Membership
If one of these options is not selected by the purchaser of the pledge, their $20 pledge will be considered a donation and used in the establishment of the Canberra ABL team.
